I see results from what I'm doing in my clothes size, my energy level and my overall sense of happiness. What the scales says cannot compete with that!

Just keep working. You WILL see progress, even if it isn't what you want it to be at the moment you expect it.

I can so relate with that. I started Spark two months ago. The first month was so depressing because I gained a couple pounds and my weight kept fluctuating, it was driving me crazy. The friendly posts in response I got was incredible. It helped having real people tell me it WAS working. Don't give up. They also explained I was probably gaining muscles, which I was because I was firming up.
So I hid the scales for a month and bought a tape measure and in two months I've lost. 4 inches!
plus I have a lot more energy. I feel awful if I don't walk at least 3 miles a day. And I want to do so much more.
Don't give up because you are making progress. No matter what those scales say, you are doing great.

I use the scale as a guideline but I don't let it affect my moods that much. I can go up and down as much as 5 pounds in a day depending on what time of day it is, the weather, the time of the month, how much I've had to drink. I have a tape measure and I once a month (if I can wait that long) I measure my chest, waist, hips, and thighs. I find I get a much more accurate idea of what's going on then just stepping on the scale. Not to mention if you're building muscle, that weighs more than fat. Today I was up 3 pounds but I walked on the treadmill for 60 minutes last night so I'm feeling up.

My weight has fluctuated up by 2 pounds but my mood is UP UP UP. It must be all this exercise and healthy food!

weighed myself this am, and, even after starting an exercise program, I'm up. Guess that I'd better pay more attention to calories. I'm a little down

I currently weighed myself this morning and after tracking my calories for weeks and working out, I have sadly gained 4 pounds. I'm soooo feeling down right now :( Seems like my clothes will never fit emoticon
