I have a heart rate monitor as well and wasn't sure I wanted to get a fitbit yet. I know that it tracks stairs, steps and sleep (the three s's?) but wasn't sure I wanted to "learn" something else yet and my concentration right now was to work out and review my workout intensity.

I love my Fitbit, and I think they are a great investment. I would however wait until I had extra money to purchase one. While I think they are worth their weight in gold as far as motivation, I wouldn't get one until I had extra money. Another though is ask for one for birthday/valentine's day?

Can I just say I love your user name? 23 is my favorite number. =D

I'm not sure if I do want the device itself; I just know I want to investigate anything that might help me keep going with my fitness determination.

I've been wondering the same thing. I've considered the Nike Fuel band and the Jawbone UP, but I think I'm going to wait for the Fitbit flex to come out this spring.

I have a heart rate monitor and I was thinking about getting a FitBit. I decided not to, because I don't care how many steps I walk a day or my sleep pattern. Why do you want it?

I have the ultra and it is my little buddy. I do my exercises to earn my pretty petals. i can earn up to 10 in a workout. I usually get 6 in 12 minute workout.

Is it worth the money-- i think so, but being unemployed i am not sure I would be willing to get one. You can go with the zip. It is a bit less, but it won't do as much as a one or ultra.

I love my FitBit Zip! Often I will just zip right up and down the stairs a few times to rack up some more steps...and this little thing doesn't fall off like some other pedometers. Seems really accurate to me. And if it's evening and the Zip doesn't have a big enough number on it's off to the treadmill!! Good Luck.

Hey, Sparklers!

I've seen the FitBit advertised, but I am unwillingly unemployed so money is tight. Before I dip into my savings, I would like to know: Is the FitBit worth the cost?

If I'm going to bust into my savings, I need to know if it's a good idea.

Thanks for your time and attention!
