They have the BEST canned vegetarian chili!

My favorite game to play in Trader Joe's is "which private brand re-label is this?" since most of their TJ-brand products are available elsewhere under different labels, for more money. For instance, TJ label beer is Gordon Biersch, I'm 99% certain. I think their Mac & Cheese is Amy's.

I LOVE the Latin style black bean soup. Sooo good! Also like the frozen roasted peppers and onions and quinoa/vegetable melange. The raspberry salad dressing is another staple in our house.

I drive 30 minutes out of my way to shop at Trader Joes. Lucky for me one is going in my neighborhood this year!

I really love smart dogs, vegetable gyoza, their edamame, the mixed fruit blend, and i always buy a bag of their white cheddar cheese puffs.

I have far too many things that I love from Trader Joe's to post, but I will post the main things that I "HAVE" to have each week:

TJ's fat-free Greek yogurt (plain)
cinnamon almonds
hummus (love most of them)
black bean & corn salsa
crunchy TJ's peanut butter (natural)
BBQ Terriyaki chicken (frozen)
Melange frozen veggies

I could go on and on!

We shop TJ's for almost all our groceries. Here are some of our staples:

Greek Yogurt
Raw Almonds
Fat Free Balsamic dressing
Lemon Pepper Pappardelle (pasta dry)
Marinated frozen salmon
edamame frozen
Veggie chips
whole wheat pizza dough
chicken sausage (all flavors are good)
soap (love their goatmilk and honey)

I love their salads, but my favorite is the "Just Chicken" in the refrigerated case. It is perfect to make salads, tacos, burritos, pasta etc... it makes cooking dinner so easy!!

I love Trader Joe's. Since we moved in March, we've had one just down the street.

I agree about the premade salads. Just read the nutrition label though, some are not healthy (though often the dressing it the culprit, so you can sub that with your own).

"Avacado's Number Guacamole" dip has healthy fat, but I have to force myself not to have too much at one sitting. Same with their hummus.

Rice snacks are low fat (if not fat free). There are several varieties. I like the puffy ones not wrapped in seaweed. Probably not recommended for a low carb diet, of course.

Fat free balsamic vinagrette is pretty good. They use soybean oil, which adds a very tiny amount of fat. I like it better than those that use water instead of oil!

Persian cucumbers. Small tender cucumbers, I use one per salad and even like the skin on these. They're so good that one day I might just try eating one without dressing!

I like the wild alaskan salmon patties (100% salmon). You can pan fry them up from their frozen state and have a healthy salmon burger in minutes. I love trader joes, don't even get me started haha.

I love their non fat greek yogurt and edamame. Also, their hummus is amazing! Horseradish and Mediterranean are my favorites. I Love their simply turkey breast for sandwiches, and get their frozen pizzas to split with my boyfriend when we need quick, easy dinners. Their cheese section is amazing (in moderation). Their produce is hit or miss.

My main problem is staying away from the junk food! Their sweet snacks are so amazing. It's always a big test of willpower getting through the store. I don't always win.

I love their little spinach pizzas in the refrigerator section. They are a wonderful snack and below 150 calories.

I really like their golden flax seeds, I put them in my oatmeal and on yogurt or cottage cheese. I am also intrigued by their "peanut flour". You can reconstitute it with water or milk, similar to a PB2 type product. It does not taste like peanut butter, exactly, but it can slay some nasty peanut butter cravings and it is packed with protein.

I used to go there just to get their Greek yogurt, but now I usually stop there to buy the brown rice sushi and whole wheat pizza dough.

I think I miss shopping at TJ's the most since starting my diet. I have found several premade salads that fit into my diet and are not the same old thing. I love that place!

My favorite "treat" is Greek Yougert. The nonfat kind with fruit. I love it almost as much as ice cream :) emoticon

I've heard so much about this store and really wish I could experience it. I've literally never seen one! I live in western pa, and I really don't think we have them around here.
