Admitting you want/need to change is a good first step.. now continue to take baby steps. AND .. remember you are worth it.. it takes a little time to track, but you are worth it. It takes a little time to exercise... you are worth it. It takes a little time to plan healthy simple meals, but you're worth it. It takes time to sleep enough.. and you're worth it.
You get the point! Bit by bit you will become what you want to be.. a healthy, active person with a positive outlook. You are not defined by a number on the scale.. but you'll be so proud of yourself with each new success, that you'll work toward other successes!

Don't get overwhelmed by protein, carbs and everything, right now while you are just starting just count calories, then after you master that, look back at your nutrition tracker and see what foods you choose that go with your carb and protein balance.
Weight Loss is mostly less calories in then calories burned.

Food tracking does help a lot~I think it makes me try harder to get the right levels of carbs, fat and protein in my cal range. Yeah, I was trying to be funny but thanks for all the love Spark Peeps~ :) You all rock~

You know, since you've been good and if you ask him, I'll bet Santa would bring you a Fitbit for Christmas or workout clothing or exercise videos or even a gift card to Whole Foods. He might not be able to take away the weight, but he can give you gifts under the tree that will help make YOU a healthier YOU.

I also have been trying to lose lot of weight and tired of yo-yo dieting...thats why I joined SparkPeople last month..So Lets "hold hands" and make a Spark Ring around the Christmas Tree and give each other the gift of Support and Encouragement..

The biggest suggestion I have to anyon trying to lose weight is to watch your calories, have sparkpeople make you a calorie range, and then make sure to Track everything you eat.
It may seem like a lot, but it shouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes a day to track your food, and plan what you'll eat 1 day in advance.
If you are thinking "I don't need to do that"- well, remember doing the same things you've done in the past is going to get you the same results- so try something that people who have successfully lost weight have done (on Spark people there is an article of th7 habits of people who have lost weight and kept it off, and the biggest thing is tracking food, along with eating breakfast)
Join Spark Team that relate to you, and ask for tips, and support. You can do this!

Dear Santa, I have dieted my whole life. I am sick of hating my body and envying people like my husband who eats like a horse and never gains weight. I have been good, I stick to my spark people food tracker and I work out. Please, for Christmas, I don't need any cookies, or any gifts.
