I previously completed 16 weeks of a challenge and am now going to revisit Stage 1 to add new goals in an effort to keep the motivation thriving and to switch things up. This time my new 16-week challenge Stage 1 goals will be: 1) eat 2 servings of fruits/vegetables a day; 2) pack my lunch at least 3 times a week; 3) participate in SP Community discussions more actively (I'm shy, so this really is a challenge for me :)). I will continue to incorporate my original Fast Break Challenges daily. They are 1) take the stairs as much as possible; 2) drink at least 8 cups of water daily; and 3) write in my journal at least 3 times a week.

I'm starting day one (again) Did all 3. It's hard for me to keep checking things off. I go on the computer early morning and sometimes that's it. Got to be more consistant. I do my exercise and pretty healthy eating daily. Drink at least 8 cups of water daily, too.

GrannyS, keep on going! Each time you exercise, you will feel better about yourself and make yourself healthier. Take it one day at a time. When you don't feel like doing anything, make yourself work out for ten minutes. You'll be glad you did later and may even go longer than ten minutes.

I have been on fast break stage 1 forever, it seems because I have developed a pattern of giving up and starting over. Because of this pattern, I have gained far more weight than I've lost, and lost far more motivation than I've gained. My weight is currently at an all time high of 210 pounds! I am depressed and feeling unworthy, and it's time to get over it and kick start my life once and for all!

Like some of you, I've been around SP for a while. I lost 40 pounds a couple years ago, but then "life" got in the way and I've put most of it back on:-( I've been beating myself up about it, but NO MORE:-) I also joined SPCoach, MERLA59, and hope that will provide me with the extra motivation to start small and stay consistent.

My 3 fast break items are to log my food daily, exercise 10 minutes, and read some motivation. So far, so good! (Day 2)

Woo Hoo to those of you who are doing well. If you're not doing so well, just take it one day at a time - say, starting today:-) Just do those three goals today.

Good Morning! I've been a member of Spark since June, 2011 lost 36 pounds, but have gained some back. I really believe that the spark coack system will help me keep on track. Started yesterday, and am going to work on posting messages. Good luck to everyone!

Today is day 2= time to set up my fast breaks and find the determination to see them through. One of my breaks will be to get up away from my desk and walk 3X this week. Sometimes I think I am glued to that chair and that is not good. Now I'll set up the other two.

Day six for me. Did all my fast break goals, and my other goals as well. Sticking to the program pretty well.

Day 3 for me...and the hardest part is trying to get at least 15 minutes of exercise in per day. I work out at the gym 3 times per week, and I've been very good at that. But on the days I don't go to the gym...I can't seem to get the motivation to do that small amount. Plus I just reinjured my knee last night, and now I'm trying to figure out how to get my 15 minutes today without further injuring it.

Rafferm, I hear you! I go back in 2 days but went in this past week to set up my room. You're not alone with the challenge of trying to eat right and get exercise in during a hectic time of year. Keep on doing your best!

I have hit a rut! I am down 50 lbs since May 2011. I know it is great but I have at least 80 more to go before reaching my goal weight. I am going to give the spark people diet a try. How are the results? I know that slow and steady will be the goal for me. I am not looking into losing it fast, I know that I will have a better chance of keeping it off them.

my doctor had taken me off all ''white'' so for now no bread.. rice... potato or my favorite pasta.. one of my groups suggested the atkins plan.. i just finished the phase one of it.. i also have to watch my sodium ans sugar.. and so far so good... we all need to be watching something to make this work for us... some of us just have to watch/monitor more than others..

my personal goal is to lose the weight and to get off some of my meds...i am almost 62 and tired of being fat and out of breath.. and physical limitations i also have had tummy issues recently and my doctor has restricted my carb intake... so getting real serious on here... i belong to a couple of real nice groups... lot of support... one of them is very active and lot of fun..

find your one thing that you want... set small goals to accomplish it..

i am also hoping that my success will influence my boyfriend to start watching his diet.. he has alot to lose..

Hi! I've never been able to stick to a diet/exercise/etc. plan, but I'm here on day 5 of spark diet (which I suppose is really day 2 since I haven't logged in). Anyone have tips on staying motivated and becoming more consistent with work outs and eating healthy?

It is really hard to stay on track these days. School is starting, there is much to do to prepare my classroom and deal with all of the headaches.

I am trying to do this again!! I never really completely gave up but I think if I go back to the basics maybe I will get motivated enough to go back to doing what I need to do anyway!!

Today, the 11th, is day one for me, I've tried losing weigh on my own, never worked, so I'm re-starting but this time following the Spark plan to a T. My fast break goals are to walk the dog every day, track my calories each day and to not hit the snooze button. All are going to be a challenge, but that's the point! :)

The snooze button's going to be a REALLY hard one...lol.

I'm in stage one also. I started last week and did really well. But not so good this week. I'm having a really hard time staying motivated. I feel like I've list and gained the same 5 pounds a million times and I can't stay on track.
