I would ask your doctor to be specific about what exercises are safe and what you should avoid.

Has your doctor cleared you to exercise? If so, it sounds like you could focus on lower body fitness...cardio...even squats and lunges without weights will raise you heart rate.

I hurt myself while doing dance exercises. My shoulder, arm, and chest muscles on the left side are very sore. The doctor said that I have bursitis, tendonitis. and some muscle damage. How do I get my heart rate up and exercise well without putting strain on my injury?
