These sound like excellent options. I hadn't thought of chair exercises nor had I thought of aquatic. I will check out all these options.

Would it be possible for you to swim or do other aquatic exercise? I'm thinking that the support and lower impact could potentially be helpful if you find the right exercises.

Have you consulted with a PT? They are probably the best people to give you ideas about things that are safe which work for you. If you can find a PT who is associated with a gym that might be a good way to go.

You might also check the chair exercises for some variety.

Good luck - I know it's frustrating to be limited in your exercise options.

If you click on Articles and Videos at the top of the page and go to Videos, Coach Nicole has some lower body workouts that might be an option for you. You could also check out SparkPeople's Workout Generator, which will give you a strength program based on what you're looking for:

Although I have a ruptured disc (cervical C7) I have been cleared to continue to walk and to continue to do any type of LOWER body exercises that I am comfortable with. So far that has been squats, plie squats, calf raises, slow lunges but I am getting so bored and need some suggestions.
It can't be anything in which I have to support my neck and it can't be anything that is causes any kind of jarring to my upper body and nothing using hand held weights. I know that sounds extremely limiting but does anybody have any suggestions?
(Again, I am medically cleared to do what I feel able to do within those limitations)
