Spark's workout targets are based on how many minutes and days you say you are prepared to work out, and certain assumptions about the intensity of your workout. These assumptions may not necessarily apply to walking.
If your minutes and calories are out of alignment, I would recommend updating your Exercise Goals (accessible from the LH of the Start page). There is an option within your Exercise Goals to directly set a weekly calorie target, rather than using Spark's minutes and days assumptions. 6 days (allowing for a rest day) times 350 = 2100 calories seems reasonable??

BLARKIN1,
A few options would be to extend the time frame to meet your goal weight or change your calories burned goal on your Start page to meet the calorie expenditure you are meeting. This may or may not adjust your calorie range based on the other data you plugged in.
i am the sparkpeople meal plans for now until i get used to my new lifestyle. i need a lot of guidance because i can easily go back to my old ways. The calories burned was outlined by the fitness tracker. Cardiovascular DAILY TOTALS / DAILY GOAL: 70 / 60 398 / 546 (last set of numbers are calories burned) I thought it was a lot too, but since i am new to this i figured i would ask around.
That sounds like a LOT of calories to be burning every day through exercise. Who have you been told this by? Are you also on a restricted calorie diet (like the SparkPeople plan?)?
The best idea is to find what works for you. If you like walking, walk. If you like organized sports, play them. If you like swimming, swim. If you like dancing, dance. Whatever you'll do consistently is key!
I have been told based on my calorie intake and weight that i need to burn about 546 calories a day to meet my fitness goals. I have been currently walking about 60-70 minutes each day at a brisk pace and burn about 346-398 calories a day. Can anyone give me any tips on other exercises might be ideal besides joinning a gym?
