There's almost too many to choose from, most of them probably really good. But my faves are Turbo Fire, Zumba and Jillian Michael's DVDs and Jackie Warner DVDs.

I recommend previewing DVD's before you invest. One place to do that is on collagevideo.com. They have clips of their DVD's that you can view before you buy.
Another way to preview is to borrow them from a public library. A lot of libraries have workout DVD's that you can check out for free. You can sample a lot, rotate your selections, etc. ... and if you find something you really like, then you can buy it.

Love Turbo Jam! 20 min workout is good when u are short on time. No matter how crappy or tired or icky I feel, whenever I do her videos I always finish them with high energy and ready to seize the day lol!
It's easy to say you're too tired, too stressed, too busy, too this or too that. Too bad. The only way you'll strip away the fat is to start by stripping away the excuses.

My favourite is Turbo Jam, particularly the 20 min workout and the 30 minute cardio party remix. They're just FUN to do. I prefer them to TurboFire. It's probably good if you can get a mix of workouts so that you don't get bored and that you can choose the intensity or length depending on what you want to do that day. I mostly cycle between Turbo Jam, WATP and Davina Mccall's Pump and Cardio Box. Just wished I didn't fall off the wagon and go back to no exercise/overeating so often
Only I can make this happen.

INSANITY will kill you lol. I love INSANITY but I am also used to that level of exercise.
P90 is a slightly less intense version of P90X, so you can look into it if you want. Other Beach Body programs I'd recommend are TurboFire (they have 10-15 min videos, but the kicker is that it's HIIT. Easier HIIT than INSANITY but still, you will feel like poo while doing it because the goal is to get your HR way high quickly and then spike it down, then repeat)
Spark has great exercise videos that are less intense, too. Many people like Leslie Sansone's Walk Away The Pounds, or Tae Bo, or Jillian Michaels.
Anything can be great exercise, and you can tailor anything for your intensity level. If it's TOO intense, go slower than the video. Modify strength movements if it's too much. Don't lift off the ground for less impact. If it's not intense enough, add more weights, go faster, etc.

When it comes to weight loss. What matters most is what we eat. Good nutrition is what takes the weight off and keeps it off. Exercise is what keeps our bodies fit and healthy. You can't outrun a bad diet with exercise. If you want to take the weight off and keep it off, you have to eat right and watch your portions. What a person does for exercise depends on their fitness goals.
So, what are your goals when it comes to fitness ? If you believe that P90X is too intense, they you definitely don't want to get Insanity. Can a person work out for 10 minutes ? YES. a person can break their workouts up into shorter segments and still get all the health benefits. No one says you have to workout for an hour to be fit and healthy. three 10 minute walks spaced out through the day still adds up to a 30 minute walk. So, stick with Tony Horton's 10 minute trainer if you enjoy the workout.
What do you like to do ? Do you like walking ? If so, take a daily walk. there are members who will tell you how they lost 100+ pounds just be walking and watching what they ate. Try Leslie Sasone's Walk Away the Pounds. How about dance ? Do you like dancing ? If so, you could try Zumba. Zumba is a Latin dance style aerobics workout that's a lot of fun.
You really can do anything you want for exercise. Try different DVDs if you like those. You don't have to buy any either. You could borrow them from your local library. Go on YOUTUBE. there are thousands of different workouts posted for different levels. Have you tried any of Coach Nicole's online workouts ? Check the fitness section and try some of those too.

Hey all, I was just wondering if you could recommend some good and effective exercise DVD's for weight loss?
I have the 'P90X' dvd, but it is far too intense, hard, and a bit too lengthy. I was thinking about getting the 'Insanity' Workout DVD, but that looks even harder than P90X, lol. I then got the 'Tony Horton 10 Minute Trainer' dvd, and although it's a great workout, and quick, I sometimes feel that 10 minutes is cheating, lol. I do two Tony Horton 10 Minute Trainer at a time, but I do get bored with it
So, what are some good/effect exercise DVD's for weight loss?
