Do you have a medical issue or injury preventing you from walking? If so, I'd get exercise advice from a physical therapist or doctor. Have you been cleared for exercise? Honestly, weight loss is 80% nutrition. So, if it's just that you aren't comfortable walking or exercising yet, that you get too winded or whatever, focus on your diet until your weight is down enough to where walking is easier.

I am 5'4".
Starting Weight (4.6.11) 164.6
First Goal 130 - Reached September 2011
Lowest weight: 116
Gained back 40 or so pounds and now getting back to it.

Certain strength training exercises can be done sitting down (weights, leg lifts, etc). Sparkpeople has several forums and articles on seated exercises you can search for. The more you build muscles, the more calories you'll burn at rest, which can help with weight loss. Depending on why you feel you can't walk, I'd suggest starting slowly and building up. Even if you walk from your house to the mailbox every day, it's a start!

What kind of exercise can I do since it's hard for me to walk and still lose weight???
