Hello, and welcome to SparkPeople. Best Wishes in reaching all of your goals.

There is no rush or hurry to take in all that the site has to offer. I don't even know if that is possible, because there is so much information here. Take you time, and it won't be long before you will know where to find everything.

Thanks so much! I really appreciate it. I will definitely check out the teams and maybe join a few. I think it is a good way to be accountable. Thanks again!

Hi Caroline and welcome. So glad you are here to make a change! Get familiar with everything here and join some teams. Teams are good for motivation, support and accountability. I am adding some links to teams you may like, no you don't have to join any/all and please don't think I am pushy, good luck on your journey.

Hello everyone! My name is Caroline and I am twenty four years old and living in Japan as an English teacher. I have, in the past couple of months, had rapid weight gain and it is continuing. I want to reverse it, lose the pounds I've gained, and learn to eat better (my eating habits are TERRIBLE!). However, while that is certainly a goal of mine, my biggest goal is fitness. Luckily the two go hand in hand! I decided that my big fitness goal is to be able to do pull-ups. I hope that with help and motivation from the people on this site I can get there. Japan is lovely, but it does present challenges, like reading nutrition labels, or asking the instructors at the gym if you are lifting correctly. I am happy to be here on SparkPeople, but I am nervous; there is so much to learn! I will do my best! Fighting!
