I don't tend to snack in the evenings, usually I eat dinner around 6 or 7 so by 10pm bed time I will not have gotten hungry again. However I do snack throughout the morning - I usually can not go from 7/8 am breakfast until 1 pm lunch without eating once or twice in between. My snacks of choice are usually things like a banana, cottage cheese with fruit, plain yogurt with apple sauce, pistachios and figs, or veggies with hummus.
This may sound odd to some, but Kale Chips are a really great way to eat a large portion of something crunchy without consuming too many calories. Simply take a bunch of kale, remove the stems (my supermarket sells prechopped bags of kale), drizzle with a little olive oil, salt and pepper (or whatever other spices you'd like...i like a little smoked paprika or cumin and chili powder) and bake for about 15 minutes at 350 degrees.

I like to have a bowl of healthy cereal, or cup of hot cocoa.
crackers topped with chive cottage cheese frozen yogurt cucumber slices and hummus mini bagel w/ butter, cream cheese or pb&j few slices of turkey rolled up with cheese

I have a sweet tooth and a history of always having dessert (how I was raised) so I feel your pain. Here are some of my favorite evening treats:
1 medium banana sliced, sprinkled with cinnamon and small drizzle of honey~ about 150cal
1/2 C part Skim ricotta and 1/4 C sliced strawberries & 1/4 C blueberries drizzle with honey~ about 200cal
1/2 C rainbow sherbet ice cream~about 100 calories
If you do not have a sweet tooth I like the suggestion about grape tomatoes basil and cheese or maybe hummus and carrots. Hope this helps! I try to save up calories for an evening snack at least 3 days a week. I feel like I won at something when I do!

It depends what I need more of that day. I'm always looking to add a little more protein to my diet, so it's usually greek yogurt. If I need a little more fat in my diet that day, I'll add half a serving of almonds.

We eat at 6 and finish dishes around 7:30. After that, I don't eat anything and try to stay out of the kitchen.

I try to stick with fruits and veggies for snacks, evening or otherwise. One of my recent faves is cherry tomatoes with fresh basil, a small slice of fresh mozzarella, and some balsamic vinegar over the top.
Hello Everyone .. I was just wondering what everyone has for evening snack...I usually have frozen yogurt or a cup of popcorn sometimes crispy thin or apple with carmel but was hoping to get any other ideas ...I dont usually snack after 8 p.m but I am alittle bored with what I have so I thought I would share mine and see if there are any other great ideas out there.
