I've been reading Gary Taubes' "Good Calories, Bad Calories" which is a great book on WHY we get fat. He says Dr. Atkins knew what he was talking about since INSULIN spikes our blood sugar so we crave MORE carbs. All the processed foods make us want more. Plus, like Racheal Heller, Phd says they contain Glutamate which makes us want to eat MORE of their products.
NOPE. Eating "clean" here!!

Welcome to Spark People all of you wonderful people fom Eva's Place. We are going to use this message board to encourage each other as we work towards our healthy living goals. Even if you do not need to lose weight please join us anyway to work on whatever you want to do to make healthy changes in your life.
If you are working on weight loss goals we will have our first weigh-in on September 13, 2011. Our first challenge will run for 10 weeks. The woman with the largest percentage of weight loss at the end of ten weeks will win a "fabulous prize" according to the council that we work for. There will be little prizes along the way. (Sorry, if you are not an Eva's employee you are not eligible for any prizes but we welcome you to join us and encourage us as we will encourage you.)
