I was 54 when I joined SparkPeople and 56 when I came back and started my Spark Program, starting with Stage One. This is a one day at a time program, but if you do the SparkPeople Program Steps, it really does work. I am terribly average, it's the SP program that is extraordinary.

I found logging my foods in the Nutrition Tracker helped me to lose 90 lbs in 16 months! I started at 210 and went to 120. I am 5'1.5" short, lol.

I hung clothing that was too small on my closet door and every time I would get discouraged I would try them on. Week by week they started fitting! That kept me motivated.

Welcome aboard, we really are all in the same boat! Sometimes we can sail right along but sometimes we have to be rowing like crazy!

You can make it happen! SparkPeople really does work!

I spent most of my 59 years in Obesityville - that is one town I never want to visit ever again!

You've come to the right place to learn to eat sensibly and in moderation...just follow your nutrition goals and the weight will come off. Congratulations on the birth of your baby girl!

To get yourself familiar with the sparkpeople site, go to your start page and on the top right corner you will see a tab "how to use this site" click on that and once you're done going through those steps, which will help you navigate the site, you can add teams (that hold similar interests), add friends and post on your team threads or here on the message boards.

Good morning. My name is Erica. I am 29 years old. I am at the point of my life that I know I am obese but for the first time I am feeling very depressed, tired, and stressed over it. Not to mention I have a six month old child, am a single parent go to school part time and work full time. I did do the diet pills and nothing worked for me. In the past I would usually work out and had no problem losing weight but after I gave birth to my daughter that same routine does not work for me. Its getting to the point where its affecting my mood, my everyday life and I just want to stay at home and not come out. I heard about this website by readiing it online and decided to try it out.
