Do you have a medical reason to require a specifically low sodium diet?
If weight loss is your primary concern and you don't have a medical issue driving a particular focus on low sodium, just "general health", then worry first about calories. Once you've got a handle on that, start making substitutions to gradually lower your sodium intake.

I'm having trouble balancing my calories and sodium. Should I worry more about eating enough calories, or eating low sodium?
