It depends on the time of day I'm working out.
When I take a 6am class, I don't eat before as my tummy isn't awake yet. On the weekends I get up around 7am and have breakfast, then go workout around 9-10am. In the evenings I don't eat before my workout at 5:30

Life should be a little nuts. Otherwise it's just a bunch of Thursdays strung together.
I work out at 4:30-5:00 am, so I typically don't eat. If I'm feeling extra hungry, I'll have something small, usually a protein shake. I do not like working out on a full, or even semi-full, stomach. You could try eating something small before and something smaller afer, or eat before if that works for you and have some chocolate milk and/or a banana after and see how you feel then. Just experiment, there's no reason you can't eat before and after if you need it.

if I'm actually hungry, I will eat a little something before I workout. I do a morning workout at home most days. Saturdays I may go to the gym or for a run in the morning.
If I feel rumbly in my tumbly late in the afternoon, I'll eat something around 3:30 or 4 (I go to the gym after work).
I also keep something in the car for when I leave the gym. Many times I am ravenous after I exercise, so I'll eat something on the way home to keep me from grabbing everything in sight when I get to the house.
some of my favorites: apples, pears, sweet potato, KIND bars, trail mix (I make my own with walnuts, raisins, and pumpkin seeds)

I will have something small (like some almonds, dark chocolate, half a banana, even a glass of orange juice) before then eat breakfast (or the appropriate meal) afterwards.

I eat before, and I'm ravished after I'm done...if I eat afterwards...I feel like I don't have strength to work out...which works better for you? What are some good energy refills/boosters?
