I like being able to see my Spark account on my Droid, but I'm really bummed out that it doesn't allow scanning a food UPC code like so many other apps.

I like my Droid app, although I wish it were as functional as the web site, i.e. tracking other goals. Initially I had some issues with it synching with the website but was advised to unload & reload the app. That worked.

I downloaded the SparkPeople Diet and Food Tracker app. It keeps telling me to create an account, I have an account and it will not let me log in. What am I doing wrong? I have an HTC Evo4.

A few days after my post, I decided to give it another try, and it's working (most of the time) for me! This has definitely come in handy the last couple of days when I'm trying once again!

I was introduced to SparkPeople entirely based on the presence of the Diet & Food application on the Android Marketplace. So, just wanted to say thanks to the powers that be for dedicating the resources to the development of the android app. Not only is it a decent application on the platform, but it was a great billboard sign that directed me to your site. Who knows how long (if ever) I would have learned about the site without the app having caught my eye...

I just got my droid a couple days ago and installed the SP app. I get the same errors - "no network force close". I was really hoping to have access to the tracker wherever I was. :(
I installed the Sparkpeople app on my droid. I have not problem logging into SP from my PC, but the Droid gives me an error (oops, make sure you are connected and try again). Other applications work; I can access the internet on my phone. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and shutting off and restarting my phone. I've checked the username and password. Any other ideas?

I have the Droid & love the SparkPeople App for tracking food & exercise
Afraid I have to edit my post. I have a Nexus One, and I can't run it. Past the login screen, once I try to do anything, I get a forced close. In addition, it offers no option to remember my username or better - user name and password. Now, while I am decently secure about those things, this isn't my online banking - honestly, I really think it's okay to let remembering the login credentials be at the discretion of the user.
But first things first - it's gotta work :(
Uninstalled while hoping for a fix. Glad to help test if you need a Nexus One guinea pig :)
I just downloaded the new Sparkpeople app for Android, and it's great! I've received a couple errors when trying to enter certain foods, but otherwise it is exactly what I needed. It syncs the information back to the website immediately!
Just joined Sparkpeople and was disappointed to see there is not a food tracker app for androind powered devices = ( So, although I love the website I will continue to use my old tracker (I can just scan in the food!) Anyone know if they are planning on making one anytime soon?? I would love to have everything in one place!
