I fill a gallon jug with water and keep in the frig. I drink the whole thing in a day. I don't like to take water with me when I go out, it leads to too many bathroom breaks!

I carry a bottle of water with me at all times when I leave the house. It helps ward off potential hunger pangs while I'm out shopping and by carrying it, I feel the need to drink it to make my bag lighter while walking around :)
I also drink at least 2 glasses of water before I allow myself a cup of coffee in the mornings. This works as good motivation for me as I desperately NEED coffee LOL.

I bought a 1L water bottle (that's 4 cups of water) and I keep track of how many times I drink the whole bottle in a day. If I only drink two full bottles, that's still my minimum water intake for the day! It seems less daunting in a container that I have to fill less often.
When out to meals, I often ask for tap water, first and sip on that for a while, even if I was thinking of ordering another drink. Oftentimes, once I've started with my water, I have lost the impulse to get another drink and suddenly it's time to order food, so I just keep the refills of water coming, instead!
