I have always been a busy person and some days breakfast gets forgotten in the shuffle. Being diabetic means that you have to watch your sugar number at all times and not eating a meal throws that into a tailspin. I end up being more hungry than I should be for lunch and end up piling on the calories and then my blood sugar goes way up and I feel sluggish and sleepy and I can't get out of my own way. On the days that I eat a proper breakfast I feel more level headed and on the ball. Tracking my food is an important part of the process because it not only shows me how much I am putting in but it shows me when and how the calories and nutrients are distributed.
