very much so! i was desperate to have someone close to workout and eat right with me, but nobody really jumped in. so i got started by myself, and everyday that i get compliments on losing weight or looking thinner, it gives me that extra boost i don't really get. it keeps me going, even though i think it would be so nice to have a partner

Yes, it does, a kind word does miracles. After hearing a compliment, you put a little more effort to keep fishing for more compliments.

I think so. Knowing there are others out there cheering you on gives me a good feeling and makes me want to make them proud of me through my successful efforts.

I think the best encouragement comes with in but it is nice to get help from others who have been where you are.
