Yes, it's the only way I can get breakfast during the week!
I add 1/2 cup nonfat greek yogurt
and 1/2 cup non fat milk in a single serve blender the night before and then add
1/2 cup frozen fruit in the morning, blend and go.
I also add a little splenda or surgar free flavored syrups occasionally to mix it up.

Each smoothie is 145 calories, gives me the calcium and protein I need in the morning.

It has really helped in my weight loss efforts and allows me to "eat" something for breakfast.

We do. I put in a cup of soy milk, 1 tsp of flax seeds, 1 banana, and some frozen fruit that I have on hand. They do fill you up and the flax is good for fiber and filling you up.

I made one for breakfast yesterday as I need more calcium in my diet, but don't care for milk. I also don't eat enough fruit and am often low on protein as well so I blended 1C. milk with 1 banana and 1T. peanut butter. It was pretty good and I wasn't starving by lunchtime, which I normally am when I have something for breakfast

Here is one!
__MIXED FRUIT SMOOTHIE___
2 bananas, chilled
2/3 Cup strawberries or mango slices
1 12-ounce can grape juice or mango, apricot strawberry, or other nector chilled.
1 8-ounce carton fat free yogurt
1 Tablespoon honey (optional)
2 Tablespoon fround pistachio muts ( optional) *I use spinach

In a blender combine bananas, strawberries, or mango slices. grapejuice or fruit of nector, yogurt and honey and spinach. Blend until smooth.

Yes. With Greek yogurt, a little skim milk, flaxseed and whatever fruit I have on hand that needs to get used up. Or, frozen berries this time of year, fresh is too expensive.

I make smoothies almost every morning for breakfast. I use greek yogurt, soy or almond milk, frozen fruit (banana chunks, sweet cherries, blueberries....whatever sounds good) a big handful of spinach (you can't taste it, I swear) and hemp or chia seeds. If I use frozen sweet cherries, I also either use a tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder or a little almond butter. Another one that I make if I have the ingredients is greek yogurt, light vanilla soy milk, hemp seeds, half a frozen banana, a half a pear, a quarter of an avocado, and a big handful of spinach. It tastes good and is very filling....also a REALLY pretty shade of green...LOL.

Thank you for the suggestion DaddyNard, but I think I'll stick with either fruit juices or red V-8 type juices and leave the green Kale and Spinach drinks to others.

if you mixed the vegetables with fruit, you will not notice that you are drinking vegetables, the only reminder would be the green color

I made 1 once and was not impressed. I am sure it was an all fruit & yogurt smoothie. I see recipes for them frequently. I think about trying again. (I like all of the ingredients.)

My friend has a juicer and she assured me the concoction she made was wonderful. It looked like mashed up seaweed, but I gave it a try. I know it isn't easy being green, and I am glad she liked it, because it will be a very long time before I try drinking green again.

I drink them often. I use a frozen banana, 2 cups of raw kale, one cup of chard, one cup of vanilla or chocolate almond milk and two large dates. You can add what ever you like seeds, different vegetables
etc. Experiment around and see what you like. For me I get a lot of greens and fruits that I sometimes don't take time to fix.

I actually used to make spinach smoothies. It sounds gross, but they are really good...totally promise. My kids would beg me for some, when I would make it. You fill half the blender up with fresh spinach, then you add any fruit you like--fresh or frozen or both. I typically added 1-2 bananas, frozen blueberries, raspberries, and/or strawberries. I would also add a little local honey and some cinnamon, then I would finish with as much water needed to get everything mixed well. Very good and good for you! I would use the full blender for breakfast and lunch, then I'd eat a normal supper.

I usually do smoothies for my son and I every morning for breakfast. I got sick of hearing him say he doesn't have time to eat, and he is so active, that I was afraid he would deplete himself of energy. I prepare them at night in either my bullet cups or the blender, and then give them a quick buzz in the morning.

I do lots of different smoothies, depending on what I have in the house. They usually all fall into five basic ingredients...

Fresh or frozen fruit (any mix of berries, mangos, kiwi, bananas, peaches)
Non fat greek yogurt
Almond or Coconut Milk
Ground flax meal
Silken Tofu or Protein Powder

Some people like honey or another sweetner in theirs, but we seldom do. I also add a few leaves of fresh spinach on occasion.

I use natural frozen fruit and plain yogurt and very little sugar or Stevia. Add flax meal and a banana it is a good meal replacer or snack.I usally thaw the fruit at least part way and cut them up or let the blender do it.
Use equal amounts yogurt to fruit( strawberries,blueberries,blackberries,...)

Is anyone on a weight loss journey that makes fruit smoothies?

I haven't done this, and I'd like to know if anyone has success with this and what the recipe is?

Also- do you use a special blender?
