Always remember to keep it on low!! Sometimes that can help stretch the cook time out and not over cook items!

I like the web site , but I have to watch and see what is in the recipe. Some are high in fat, calories etc. They even cook bread and brownies in the slow cooker.

There's a website called "skinnytaste" and she has great crockpot recipes. One of my favorites is a turkey, white bean and pumpkin chili.

I swore I would never buy another cookbook ............ BUT then I got the SP cookbook and am soooooooooo happy, so is hubby!! ........ There are lots of wonderful slow cooker recipes there and I use them over and over ................... emoticon

I'm making a Crockpot Hawaiian Chicken for tonight. Unfortunately, it only takes 6 hours to cook but I just set the timer on my crockpot for 8 hours. The recipe is 4-6 chicken breasts, hawaiian-style bbq, and 1 can of crushed pineapple but I used fresh pineapple instead.

There is a slow cooker forum in the Diet and Nutrition area. LOTS of good suggestions there!

the creamy italian chicken is awesome. i serve it over biscuits or rice.
its a few chicken breasts
a pkg of low fat cream cheese
can of cream of chicken (or i've used cream of onion)
pkg of dry good seasons italian

Throw a couple frozen chicken breasts into the crock pot, top with a can of diced tomatoes with green chiles, a can of drained and rinsed pinto or black beans, a cup of frozen corn, and a can of chicken broth (low sodium, low fat). sprinkle with cumin, parsley, pepper and a tiny bit of salt. Stir
Cook on low 10-12 hours. When done, shred chicken with forks and serve over white rice.

Hi I am looking for recipes that can be in the Crockpot for 12 hours or more without becoming mush mosh. I search and search the internet but cannot find any. I want them to be as healthy as possible.
