love my fitbit and earning petals.

I am not sure if fitbit website runs specific reports such as monthly,etc reports. I get an activity reporrt every week that shows me my best day and worst day. You can set how many steps you want to achieve in a week and as you sync, the percentage is displayed on the fitbit page. I know that there are a variety of reports that you can run from the site.

I can't say that I am a slave to it, as there are days that I forget to put it on after a shower.

Does Fitbit allow you to see your weekly, bi-weekly, monthy averages? This "average assessment" can be encouraging even if you have a day that does not meet the mark.

It works for me. It gives me an accurate picture of my steps in a day.

I have a fitbit and used it for a while and then put it away. I felt like I was being a slave to it and feeling bad if I didn't get it all in. I have started wearing it again, and do need to look at it differently. Its a tool and I can use it as such. I don't want to feel bad if I am not hitting the big number everyday. I have often thought about getting a bodymedia fit but not sure how different that would be.

I do not have a FitBit but have been wearing a BodyMediaFit monitor for almost 2 years. I think they are very similar devices.

I LOVE mine and do find it extremely motivating as well as the feedback on sleep which has definitely improved that too. emoticon

Thinking about getting one, but don't know if I can justify the expense. If you have a FitBit does it keep you motivated?
