Depends how stressed I am! They are the first to go and then they get the clearance toys after christmas. This year our pup is getting a few treats.

Today I will make progress one step at a time.

Rusty will get some surprises from me this Christmas. I am going to crochet a blankie for him (he may have to wait until after Christmas for that, but I'll try to get it finished beforehand.) He'll also be getting some goodies from PetsMart that I'll be ordering. Greenies and a new ball and a new plush toy and maybe a new harness. He will have a wonderful time tearing into all those packages!

Absolutely! I have a great local source for cloth mice filled with organic catnip. Each one is a different fabric so it's fun choosing just the right mouse for each cat in our extended family.

I really like that I can give a locally made, healthy gift!

Yes, our cats have gifts from Santa- and we also give gifts from them (to my 7 year old son, and my brother who watches them if we go out of town)

Our cats are part of the family, and thoroughly spoiled and Happy!

They love "Appetizers for Cats" from Fancy Feast, and "Crispies" Cat treats (from Pet Smart) and Cat nip toys, their favorite is a yellow boomerang that looks like a banana.

My dog will have some gifts this year, its his first year with us. I haven't decided if anything edible will be under the tree or up out of reach, he's usually really good but I don't know how he'll do with yummy smells on the floor.

I may not be there yet but I'm closer than I was yesterday.

I got tired of starting over and working back to where I was, so I have stopped giving up!

Oh yes! And I give gifts to my close friends and family members that have pets also. For the kitties, I made gingerbread men catnip toys.

Obie, my cats were the same as your friends dog although sometimes they did not wait. The dog we had when I was young would sleep under the tree by her stocking. It was so cute.

absolutely! I usually stock up at PetSmart's after Christmas sale.

friends of ours in Louisville always had a present under the tree for their Yorkie. She knew which one was hers. On Christmas morning they would tell her she could open her present, and she'd go get it.
She's at the Rainbow Bridge now. emoticon

My four cats do. In fact they all have their own little stockings too. We have four cats, one for each member of my family even though one of my daughters is out of the home and married. Even though all the cats are all of ours we do have one each we call ours the most so I put their stocking next to the one who stakes the biggest ownership on it. I buy them little treats for their stockings every year. This year it will be a pot and cat grass for them as the have many toys already. We all noticed that our cats love Christmas, they love the trees and do not mess with them, they just love to cuddle under them to sleep, and they love to sit on couch and look at the lights, and they especially love to cuddle up by the fireplace. :) Merry Christmas!
