How's your progress, Emily?

8/18/11 2:19 P Actually listen to this woman. She knows what she is talking about. She did this! And is wonderfully understanding.

55 to 65 lbs. of weight loss with in a year should theoreticly be easy to do. Just make sure you have the support system you need! Having someone to workout with helps beyond all belief. If you can get someone to exercise with take advantage of that! Drink 12 cups of water a day. If you cannot drink that much then work up to it. Eat more raw fruits and veggies. I like to substitute a meal with a couple of fruit or veggies. It doesn't have to be the same meal each day. Apples and carrot are loaded with nutrients! They also help your body get much needed fiber and to help the body run more smoothly! Snack on healthy treats. If you get a craving drink a tall glass of water. Exercise obviously. Walking 2- 3 miles either everyday or just 3 times a week should really help. Lift weights. They can be soup can or you can use a resistance band. The cool thing about the band is you can carry it around in your back pocket! emoticon wake up with a work out. Just 3 minutes in the morning can really help to get you energized and ready to go. You can jog in place, stretch, having sex even. Take it all one step at a time. Don't beat yourself up if you have an oops day. Everybody has them. You can do this! Taking it one step at a time really helps. Cut soda and snack cakes first helps alot. These are some of the hardest hurdles to jump. Take the soda out first it is the easier of the 2. Snack cakes are my hard one. :/ Anyway it will all work out. Don't let anyone make you feel bad for taking time out to treat yourself to things that make you feel good about yourself! Exercise is worth it! And so is eating right. You have a goal a path, and you have drive! You will do it!

With changing eating habits and working out, start small & think big. If you make small changes, one thing at a time, you're much more likely to sustain the healthy habits. This is after all a lifestyle change. For example, if you drink regular soda, switch to diet. If you eat Lucky Charms or some sugary cereal, switch to Kashi Honey Sunshine (Awesome, PS) or Fiber One Honey Clusters. Dedicate yourself to working out 30 minutes 3/week & build up to more days and/or more time

How 'bout you, EMILYRIKAY200?
Do YOU think you can do it?

Your opinion is ultimately the only one that matters....
Best of luck!

well I am trying to go from 200 to being between 135 to 145 pounds. My motivation for losing the weight is that if I stay this weight it is going to be harder to find a dress that looks nice, and being 5 foot at 200 pounds will make it more difficult to have a baby.

How much weight are you trying to lose? And what's YOUR motivation for doing it? You shouldn't do it for anyone else but you. Both sides of the family already love you just as you are. If you looked the way you do right now on your wedding day, they'd all think you look beautiful!!

So, I am Emily, I am getting married at the end of summer 2012. I am very nervous that I will not lose the weight I need to so I can feel most comfortable in front of both sides of the family. Please feel free to message me, and add me so you can give me tips and suggestions so I stay focused on losing the weight. Thank you. emoticon
