When I started my get healthy trip, I knew it had to be as easy to maintain as possible, so a gym membership was out...money comes and goes and I didn't want to rely on something that could disappear. Also, I've become a runner and value the opportunity to train outside (CT or run) in all types of weather because you never know what race day will look like! :)

Yes, my job site has one the employees can use. So I go almost everyday.

Yes, almost everyday. I like the variety there and having so many people around me unconsciously keeps me from giving up when it gets tough.

I work out at home with my own equipment. That allows me extra time for exercise. I used to spend 20 min to and 20 min from the gym unless there was a traffic jam,, time packing, changing, get the machine which was almost impossible after work and the stress of dealing with people

Yes, I go. I take classes and do my running/ST there.
I joined the gym during the winter months. I left for work in the dark and returned in the dark and lacked the motivation to exercise. It did not take long before I was super motivated and now I usually just go to the gym once or twice a week.
I prefer to strength train at the gym. I like the variety of equipment and the space. I will ST at home in a pince, but I prefer the gym.
I prefer running outdoors as my cardio so I rarely do cardio in the gym.
I'm contemplating doing a few classes at the gym.

Too many distractions when working out at home. Planet Fitness is a great gym, no frills and truly people of all sizes go there. I still don't love the gym, but I do like it.

Yes, I like the machines and the focus there. I also like to swim with my bad knees. I also workout at home when I can't get there.

Yes- In high school we had P.E. in the gym or outside In college I taught Red Cross Swim lessons at the YMCA and also used the gym at the college. I married and moved to a community with no gym except at the school which was open on Saturdays and Sundays for public use - and I used it. But I also go outside as much as possible- gardening, walking/hiking/jogging, biking and swimming outside in lakes, ponds, and the ocean in summer
In 1990, our community built a private fitness club. It was too expensive to join then, but in 1992, I traded teaching swimming and lifeguard lessons for use. In 1996, I went to paying dues once a month.
Since being involved in that fitness club over 20 years, I have learned to lift weights, improved my swimming, started taking Aerobics, Yoga, Pilates, went back to Racketball, and started Zumba.
If there is any way you can get into a gym, I highly recommend it. The classes and masters swimming have been great for me.
yes I go to the ymca I do zumba 3 times a week then I work out in the gym 3 days a week plus all the work I do at my house

Yes, I go to LA Fitness. I like it because I can go to any location. I got to spin class at one club with one group of friends, and I do my regular ST and cardio at another club with other friends. I go anywhere from 4-7 days/week.

Yes - It is where I do my most successful strength training! (I don't have space, equipment, or lack of interruptions at home.) -- It is also most useful in our rainy weather (usually @ 8 months of the year!).

Sometimes. I personally decided that working out shouldn't be a chore, but something fun and I didn't find gyms to be all-that-fun. My workouts are things that I enjoy, such as swimming, riding horses, dancing, etc. I even find walking outdoors to be fun.
However I will go to the gym if, for some reason, I'm not participating in my activities (such as due to a holiday break, or the end of the season).

I do, since the one at my school is free. I really like having access to all of the equipment. Plus, with it being inside, I don't have to deal with the weather. I'm worried for this summer when I may have to start running outside...
