I used to, before I became disabled. I had a very small yard, but I had flowers all over, in the ground and in containers. I also use to grow tomatoes in a container. I really miss being able to garden, but thankfully, when I was able to, I planted a lot of perennial plants that still come up every year, so I have at least a few plants and flowers to enjoy even though I am not able to plant new ones.

I usually get a couple of hanging baskets every year for my porch, those are pretty easy to take care of, and certain kinds of flowers attract hummingbirds too, which I love to watch.

My name is Shari; I have been a Sparker since July 2006, I am now in hospice care for metastatic breast cancer, but I'm not letting cancer stop me from Sparking!

Not since moving to Florida 16 years ago. Too many snakes in the shrubs and garden beds.
One snake dropping on your shoulders scares you away from the joy of gardening.

I do. For the life of me I cannot grow vegetables. I have some beautiful flowers though

Yes - I always have a pretty big garden when the weather is nice - peas, potatoes, tomatoes, lettuce, spinach, swiss chard, last year I tried collard greens for the first time; cucumbers, herbs, etc. I'm anxiously awaiting warmer weather so I can get it going again - it is my therapy and I miss it in the winter!

Yes, I absolutely love the fresh produce during the summer & fall. Can hardly wait for spring to prep the garden and get the seed and plants into the ground.

I keep many flower gardens. I don't have a veggie one. I have daisys of every color, roses, lots of perrenials, flowers that come back every year. Love my flower gardens! If there were more hours in the day, would make a veggie garden and can. I just go to the famers market nearby for now. If only I had more time!

I used to garden and plan on doing it again after I build my new house.

I have lost 6 pounds. Though I am not trying as hard as I feel I should I am very happy about the weight loss. Good luck to all of you.

Not as much as I used to, but I still keep containers around the yard and deck.

I wish! I'm in an apartment, which makes it difficult. The exposure is eastern, and there's a tree just outside our small patio. Between those two things, I can't even container-garden.

I'm disabled, so any kind of growing is a serious challenge... but I *want* to so much that I did buy a bunch of seeds and herb plants a year or so ago. Everything expired, either from too much/little moisture, no good light... it was depressing. I was hoping to at least have some herbs and salad fixins. No such luck.

I'm very envious of the rest of you who can have a garden!

Very nice. I love gardening it relives my stress so rather then eating chips I walk outside to my garden when I feel like stuffing my face. I will usually pick a carrot and enjoy it then get back to work. Hope you enjoy your retirement

Are you strictly a flower gardener? emoticon

I do not like flowers so much due to the fact that my mother has owned a flowershop since I was a teen and having to work with them for her just did me in

This will be my second year having a spring garden. I live in AZ so I have started my seeds growing. Currently in the ground I have Carrots and 50 onions. Seeds I'm growing 4 kinds of tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, green bean's and iceberg lettuce. I'm waiting for my red potato starts to arrive for planting. I do have lemon, lime and pomegranate trees. I'm currently growing a pineapple plant it will be a year old in April. Pineapple plants take about 2 years to produce 1 fruit so I'm patiently waiting. If you do garden what will be growing for spring? emoticon emoticon emoticon
