Sometimes. I do not know how long it has been since your surgery but I still had the same "period" symptoms for a several months after mine. It has been 10 years for me and sometimes I still have them but not as pronounced.
The weather also has a big effect on me. If it is humid, instant bloat.
Another thing I have noticed is that when I am dehydrated I feel bloated. I increase my fluids and the bloat goes away. Seems like it should be counterproductive but it is not.

Do you eat anything that's labeled "sugar-free" or "no sugar added?" Or "added fiber?" I just ask because I stay away from sugar alcohols like sorbitol & fiber additives like inulin because they make me bloated & give me GI discomfort. Other food sensitivities can do it too-lactose, gluten, someone already mentioned soy.

Yes, I'm bloated and my ring finger is swollen. I ate too much bread this weekend. Back to fruit only for breakfast and the water is working it's way through.
My butt is bloated too.

Do you still have your ovaries? If so, your body is still going through hormonal cycles, even after a hysterectomy.
Pre-hysto I never had hormonal bloating, but I do sometimes notice other things (mood changes, breast soreness) even though I lost my uterus three years ago.

I tend to swell some when the weather is hot. When it's hot, I notice that my wedding ring is more snug. During the winter, it rattles around on my finger and, in the summer, it's sometimes pretty tight.

I get that feeling after eating anything "soy." It just doesn't agree with me. There's a sport drink I sometimes have and it makes me feel that way -- I checked the ingredients & sure enough there was soy.
Water retention / bloat is sometimes caused by fluctuations in hormone levels. Isn't being a woman great?
I personally always get soooo bloated when the weather suddenly changes. If it's a rainy day, you can bet that my jeans feel a bit snugger.

I'm not sure what the deal is but I've been feeling bloated all weekend and no I have a hysterectomy so it's not from that... just not sure why I feel so bloated don't even cook with salt and haven't eaten anything salty. But if I didn't know better I'd think it was that time of the month hahahahaha
Starting to like the new me! Waiting for my garden to come to life!
