I work out when I get home from work. I have a small snack 15-30 minutes before leaving work (been loving pistachios lately!), then start my workout when I get home.
Depending on my workout, sometimes afterward I will have a glass of vanilla soy milk, or possibly a slice of multigrain toast with peanut butter -- or I'll just jump straight into starting to cook dinner or heading out to go get dinner.

Eating when you need to is best but eat something that gives you an energy boost. Bananas and peanut butter are great, Greek yogurt, raisins and almonds.

Both. Breakfast at around 6-7am. Start my workout at around 8-9am. Post workout snack at 10:30-11am.
I drink my whey protein shake while I lift. I usually eat after my cardio workout or after I lift.

It really depends on the length of time of your workouts and/or intensity. For any runs longer than an hour I will come in and have a snack of carbs and some protein. However, if I am doing a more intense run, such as a tempo or intervals, even if just for 30 minutes I will have a protein shake or Greek yogurt. As for strength training, it depends--

This question gets asked a lot, you might want to do a quick search of the message boards.
I workout inthe am, I do not eat because I don't like to workout on a full stomach. Once a week or so I do workout after dinner, but I try not to eat too much. If you want a shake or a snack after you work out, why not? Especially if you feel like you need the fuel. Just make sure it fits in your range for the day.

I would like to know if you eat before working out? I can only do my workouts at night and I wait about 2 hours after I eat dinner. But I wonder if after I workout if I can have a protein shake or something to feed my muscles??
