cheryl-annie62 the point is not to eat the fewest calories possible, the point is to eat the same amount of calories that you expend. or, in the case of weightloss, slightly fewer calories than you expend in order to create a loss. as you burn more calories [exercise], that tends to mean that your need to eat at least a little more to balance it out. the closer you are to your goal, the more of those calories you need to eat back.
In the case you are sharing it is fine not to eat back those calories and stick with your basic calorie range which I imagine is 1200-1550. If you do feel hungry, light-headed, sluggish, etc---then have an additional snack.

Yeah, I was kind of wondering the same thing. On days when I work out and burn 200-300 calories, SP usually adds those to my food totals. Is it ok if I eat under those totals in order to maximise my weight loss? I usually make sure to eat around 1300-1400 instead of the 1200-1300 when I'm sedentary. Any advice from others would be helpful. :)
Some times one needs to eat back those calories to provide the energy the body needs for intense workouts.
And as you have said---sometimes it can backfire and you may eat too much and stop weight loss.
I usually say go slow, see how your body feels. Perhaps eat back 1/2 the calories. If you find you are sluggish---you may need to eat more.

Hello everyone I notice on my fitness pal tracker that it adds back the calories that I burn after I put in my exercise. Do you eat those calories? I thought that burning cals was the goal. Why would you eat them back? Just not quite understanding that. I have not been eating them back. Should I?
