I prefer to eat after. Gives me something to look forward to. :)

He is trying to tell me that I HAVE to exercise before I eat and that it's BEST to exercise in the morning to get the BEST results:)

I prefer to eat after as I've been told, the calories are still being burned, however there's no proof to that. Some will eat before, it's just that I prefer not to work out with food on my stomach. As it was previously mentioned, it is a personal choice as long as the workout is getting done!. emoticon

It is all a personal comfort thing. I have to eat before I do anything. My hubby doesnt eat til way after. My bloodsugar drops drastically when I have been moving for more than 45 minutes doing moderate or higher exercises.

I agree with what the others have said about it being your own personal preference. I find that if I am too hungry and I don't eat something then I have no energy and my walk or bike ride suffers. On the other hand, if I eat too much before them I feel sick.

My solution is to eat something before and something after; you know, just split up my lunch.

Good luck on finding what works for you and woo hoo on getting started!

Like the previous said, it is totally your choice. Whatever works with your schedule is the correct time to do it. Don't let the kids be an excuse! You can always take them in the stroller, or take them to the park and do park activities that will get your heart rate up.

Great job on starting, and on working in your exercise time. You are going to be a great role model for your kids!

It's what works for you. Neither is "better" or "worse" - you won't burn more calories or fat. Timing is totally a personal preference. I have to exercise first thing in the morning. If I don't, it never gets done. :) Exercise when it's best for YOU!

Some people find that exercise suppresses their appetites. Other people find it stimulates it. It's very personal.

Can I ask what the problem is with your husband?

I am new to this and I'm having a problem with my husband!
Can you folks tell me -- do you exercise -- and I'm talking like walking or riding a bike for a bit -- before you eat dinner or after????
Unfortunately, for me - either on my lunch break at work or in the evening is the only time I can get out to exercise because I have 2 small children.
Any advise would be great!!!
