yes, to make sure they have what I eat so won't choose the unhealthy stuff.

Absolutely I do. I plan what I'm going to order before I go (and pretend to peruse the menu when I'm there). But I don't want to get there and start to guess and ultimately just say, "Oh what the heck--I'll just order those truffle oil fries after all!" Makes me feel like I can actually go out and be ok.

I often look online but it's not always because I want to get something low-cal....just to know what they have so I know there will be something I like. I'm a very meat-and-potatoes kind of girl and don't have a palette for much exotic food. We don't eat out terribly often so I usually let myself indulge, but sometimes if we end up with plans that are somewhat close together, I will look first to try and find a low-cal option.
I like to, but unfortunately most of the restaurants don't list their caloric or nutritional information. But at least I can plan ahead of time if they have a menu posted and more or less determine what I think the calories might be and at the very least choose the healthier food options

Yes. More so since I'm really tracking by calories and carbs.
I do check when i can, but my problem is I don't eat at "chain" restaurants too often; the type of places i prefer to go (independents) don't usually post nutrition information, so counting calories gets a bit more challenging.
I have on occassion checked a chain restaurant's online information and then decided not to go to the establishment AT ALL, because of a lack of reasonable choices.
When I am doing my best I sometimes do. I am not obsessed with doing it though. I am not going to settle for something tasteless to save calories either, neither will I settle for chicken if beef is what I want. If I am going out I should enjoy. At home I can watch this and that, and when I go out I should enjoy my time out and not worry if I ordered the meal with 200 calories more.
When we go to a restaurant it's rare, but before I go I do like to see if they have an online menu so I can check the calories and make healthy decisions , so when I get there I know exactly what to order, anyone else do this?
