Absolutely! I've been using them for a couple of months now and I've lost quite a bit of weight, as well as toned up. They've also helped build my endurance!

They sure do work. I decided to try one from my Cable's On Demand section and I figured, "Eh, how strenuous could this be, it's just walking in place..." Boy oh boy did I end up getting a good workout! :)

Yup, they totally work. I started out with the Walk Away the Pounds DVDs and they were very helpful to me at the start. I had a very poor fitness level and a new baby (followed in quick succession by another new baby!) and they were great for me to build up my stamina and fitness and do at home during nap times. I liked that there wasn't any jumping around and I didn't need much space to do them. Once they started getting too easy for me I moved on to harder DVDs, like TheFIRM and 30 Day Shred, but I would totally recommend them to any beginner to do.

I love Leslie too. I walk outdoors when I can, but I use Leslie's DVDs for days of bad weather or when I just don't feel like getting dressed to go outside. emoticon
You don't have to spend hours at a gym to get fit. Do what works for you.

Yes, I do believe that the walk at home DvD's work great. The first time losing 65 lbs I did it by watching what I ate mainly and then when I had my son 2.5 years ago the diet aspect was not cutting it. I lost the first 50 lbs doing the Leslie Sandsone Walk at Home Videos and sometimes doing the 15 Minute Workouts for Dummies that helped me tone. But now I have hit a plateau at 160 because the LS Videos became too easy at 5 Miles a day 6 days a week and have had to step it up and im trying to incorporate Running, Zumba, and the Jullian Micheals Videos in to bust through this plateau.
Good Luck with everything and keep up the good work :)

I walk outside on nice days and inside on rainy or hot days. Our neighborhood is quite hilly and I think walking in the basement and walking outside works some different muscle groups.

Anytime you are moving you are burning calories. When I started my own journey 5 1/2 years ago, I used the Leslie Sansone DVD's and loved it. They helped me advance to walking outside and within a year I was running. I think they are a great tool to get us moving.
