it was an apple with a piece of cheese or pb now I am into unsalted peanuts in the shell....it takes me longer to eat but I find I pay more attention to what I am eating and because my eyes see a lot of stuff in the bowl...it somehow fools me into feeling that it is a real serving.
I always keep a high protein snack bar (10g) in my purse for when I'm on the go and hungry. It cuts down on the impulse purchases at WalMart or the grocery story.

I love to snack so have lots of favorites. A 90 cal Yoplait, a can of pineapple chunks which I keep in the fridge so that they are cold, hummus and carrots (I've been making my own hummus, yummy and easy) package of pretzels, SF, FF pudding cups, and cheese and crackers. I make sure to count my snacks in my tracker as ;m more of a grazer then a big meal eater.
I am trying to eat less carbs so my favorite go-to snack is, I take a slice or two of deli turkey breast or ham and add a T of Tabouli salad to the center of each and roll up. OR, to switch it up, I'll use string cheese, cucumber, celery or carrot sticks or a pickle spear....mmmmm!
