As others have stated, spinning the wheel was exciting. However, now it's just something to do to see how many points I end up with. Sometimes I feel that it's not even worth the effort when my spins only result in 2 points. GRRR.....

I enjoy spinning the wheel. It makes me smile everytime I spin it.
But I do wish that spinning the wheel was not the only way to say that you signed in. I have often broken a sign in streak simply because I forgot to spin the wheel. Even though i had exercised, entered food, and weighed in.

They don't matter to me. I usually "update my status" if I get 10 points. I never change the status so it almost always says that. At times I think of updating my status with the 2 points I usually get, mostly to be a bit cynical, but so far, I have not done that. Hey if it motivates some people, that is great. It does nothing for me but I spin it anyway just for the heck of it. I think it would be nice if there was a way to win actual prizes. I guess some have actually reported winning prizes, but I am doubt that option exists since I have never even seen prizes listed on my wheel, let alone winning one. Unless some consider the ads that come up to buy or download a DVD or cookbook, for a price, to be a prize? I guess I don't see it that way.
But I'm not knocking Sparkpeople. It is a great resource and I love it. I'm just saying the points earned from the wheel don't do much for me.

Not really - I do feel they help us to log in to SP & maybe read up on something that we might not otherwise read or see what we are actually accomplishing. Good idea behind the points, but it should not be the main factor of coming here each day (in my opinion). Have a great evening.
