I have yet to find an accurate scale. Even the one at my doctor's office isn't that accurate according to the nurse. Maybe you should took measurements instead of relying on a scale for progress.

The readings range from 1-5 or so pounds each time I weigh myself 4-5 times in a row. The scale is on a concrete floor in the basement bathroom. I will try the battery and see if that does the trick. I do know that your weight fluctuates during the day and have found that weighing in the morning after going to the bathroom gives the most accurate weight.

How different are your readings? A pound of salad greens, 20 oz of water, and 6 oz of baked tilaipa, for example, weighs about 2 lbs. Even though you won't gain actual body fat from that meal, you will weigh more after consuming it until it has passed through your body. Weigh yourself at the same time each morning, after using the bathroom and before eating. If your numbers are off, though, after weighing yourself several times in a row, under the same conditions, it might be your scale. Try replacing the batteries and moving it to a flat hard spot. Even a brand new scale may have shipped out with old batteries or dirty terminals.

I bought what I thought was a good digital scale. I thought that paying a lot of money would give me a very accurate reading of my weight. When I weigh myself, I get a different weight each time I weigh in. Does anyone know of a very accurate scale out there that doesn't cost a ton of money (10-20 dollars is my price range)?

Hope everyone is working hard this month so far.

Tim
