Mash them like potatoes, and use 1/2 and 1/2 mashed potatoes to the dish, using chicken broth instead of milk. Delicious!

As a child I remember them served the same way you would a mashed potato. They are a very fragrant but tasty veggie.

turnips along with other root veggies, are a great combo for baked root veggies, you cut them into the size you want, the harder veggies a bit smaller, cause they take longer to cook... toss in a bit of olive oil and whatever spices or herbs you want to add...
