I am one of those weird people who can't stand salty and sweet together (except, of course, for peanut butter + chocolate) so this is a little scary to me, lol.

I do love fresh fruit topped with yogurt, though!

I think the 'salting the fruit' thing probably gives some good taste to the dish but you probably get the same effect from just adding a little salt to the yogurt. The cherry tomatoes sound great with the fruit - tomatoes are a fruit and can sometimes be quite sweet. Cherry tomatoes may tend to be on the sweet side, whereas beefsteak tomatoes, not so much.

One of my favorite things is baking tomatoes until they darken and start to caramelize. You realize how really sweet they are. I think the key to the recipe here is: how flavorful is your pineapple? Canned watery pineapple wouldn't work as well - for me - as fresh pineapple. Luckily, you can often get fresh pineapple at supermarket salad bars.

If this combination proves to be sweet enough, I can even see mint going well with it.

The cherry tomatoes would also, along with the pineapple, contribute a bit of acidity to round out the dish. It sounds pretty good to me and I haven't tried it.

The salt water is wierd and also adding cherry tomatoes to a fruit parfait. That does not seem to match! I think a lot of people mix fresh fruit (or frozen and leave overnight) with plain yogurt and enjoy that for breakfast.

Ingredients: 2 apples, 2 guavas, a small amount of cherry tomatoes, pineapple, milk, yogurt

Instruction:First, cut apples and guavas into small cubes. Then soak the small cubes in salt water for a while. Then cut pineapple and cherry tomatoes into small pieces and put the pieces into a bowl. Finally fish out apple and guava and top them with milk and yogurt.
