My fitbit was delivered on the 15th. That night my throat got sore and the next day I had a cold. What timing! I was still up and around that Saturday. Sunday I curled up on the couch pretty much the whole day, but I still managed to get my 10,000 steps. I'm super proud of myself. Monday I felt better. I'm glad it was a holiday and I didn't have to go to work.

Tuesday I was feeling better, but sounded miserable enough for my supervisor to ask me if I was okay. XD I've been doing great working out this week. My fitbit has been amazing for my motivation so far. I'm glad it is just a cold. I hope to avoid any serious illness until I can maintain and it won't make me sad if I take a few days off to recover.

Well, I don't have a fever; but do have some body aches. Mostly my back though I think from coughing.

It's a flu if you have a fever and body aches or a headache.

It's so hard to get back into a routine after being sick. I had a sinus infection after the flu, and I am finally enjoying being back working out again. Last week sucked due to being out for about two weeks! It was really hard to get back into the rhythm again. But, push comes to shove, and today, I burned about 700 calories and I still feel great!

I hope you all feel better soon. Don't let it lick your motivation to pick back up again!

Yes! My hubby brought it home with him earlier this week and I am feeling pretty awful now, as is he. I think it is a bad cold, kind of hard to tell the difference sometimes.

I hope you all feel better soon. Rest up!

I avoided it until my husband brought home a nasty virus from his office. Thought I dodged that too, but came down with it last week.

I'm on day 13 of my second bad bout of illness for 2013. This seems to be a sickly year for me. Have the whole gammut of symptoms this time around...bad cough, sore throat, sinus, aches and pains, fever. The fever peaked last week and has just been low grade off and on since then. In fact, the whole thing is just sort of lingering now. I'm hoping to be closer to 100% by the end of this weekend.

I haven't been exercising or worrying too much about what I've been eating the last week and a half. For the most part, I didn't have much of an appetite anyway, and I definitely didn't have the energy to exercise. My SO says I did a perfect zombie impersonation for about three days straight though. I'm planning on starting with a light work out tomorrow morning again and seeing how that goes. With the lung congestion, I don't want to trigger a lingering asthma complication either.

Have the first cold that I've had in two years? Bad, probably but I don't feel bad. The congestion is annoying, but some extra vitamin d, an extra smoothie, some green juice a friend was kind enough to whip up, and my pillow and I am feeling much better. Will get an extra adjustment tomorrow to further the healing. Don't need the crap they sell at the pharmacy. Did it naturally and feel great.

yes - it was a bad cold. I was sick for about a week plus... was afraid it was the flu! Feeling better today, so I might be able to get back to my workouts this next week.

Hope you feel better soon!

A TON of people I know have had a flu or the cold. I am finally starting to feel better today, just a little remnant to get over. I work with children too, they're 4, not quite old enough to understand why they need to use a tissue and why they need to wash their hands, but they're also not as young that they'll wait for an adult to help them wipe their nose. So whatya know, the boogers get swiped on sleeves, wrists, hands, and yes on my clothing. Ewww....

I had the flu two weeks ago, and have just gotten through the last remnants of it. I had a flu shot in the fall, so I'm afraid what this would have been like had I not had it!

On the plus side, my treadmill broke a few days before I got sick and only just got repaired yesterday, so at least some of the waiting for parts & repair service was while I was not going to be working out anyway.

Hope you are feeling better soon.

I have been battling this all fall and winter - I teach students with disabilities and even though they are in middle school they often come in with runny noses that they don't blow on their own, coughs that they don't cover, and I even have one who has had strep throat on and off mediccations since September.

KNOCK ON WOOD - so far I have been able to treat the symptoms before they turn into the full-fledged crud. I have had a couple of bouts that lasted a day or two but nothing that I needed to go to the doctor for.

I hope you feel better soon!
I got a cold. It started with a light tickle in the back of my throat on Wednesday. I still exercised as usual, and then on Thursday, as I was exercising, I noticed I had to keep clearing my throat. Today I took a rest, as I've already burned enough calories for the week. I am sneezing an awful lot, and my head hurts....I guess it's just that time of year...

I did. On Tuesday I had to keep clearing my throat as I was on the elliptical, and soon after the work out, I had a terrible headache and asthma. It was so annoying. I used my inhaler, took advil, then I was okay... except a little cough. Then it hit me over night- the headache, aches, fever, chills, cough, congestion, runny nose, and horrible feeling. So, today is day 3 being sick and I've not tracked my meals because I ate weird for 3 days. My fever spiked at 101.7 yesterday. The only thing I've done is watch movies and sleep. I just hope I come out of this without asthma lingering because I do not want to go backward in my fitness! It's only been a month since I started to regularly exercise. I hate asthma...
