I seem to perform best with fibrous veggies and protein preworkout to keep my bg levels steady.

This is really impossible to accurately answer on a message board and it may be best to meet with a certified diabetes educator or take a diabetes class at your local hospital. This could be dependent on the composition of your meal prior to exercise, as well as the snack you have chosen.

I always pair up a protein with a carb per my dietitian's suggestion.

I have just been diagosed with prediabetes with a fasting blood test of 100 mg/dl. I usually get dizzy after I exercise. I usually eat a piece of fruit before exercise. Should I eat a protein and a carb before exercise to alleviate dizziness? Cardiac disease has been ruled out since I had a doppler test. Also, no cholesterol was detected in my carotid arteries by the technician, and my EKG and blood pressure is normal.
