Thank you both, that helps me feel a lot better about this, I was a little worried that I wouldn't lose the weight I'm trying to because I'm not meeting every goal set on the nutrition part of this, but now that I know I can set it by what my Doctor says helps tremendously. Thank you so much.

One week and counting.... You can do it! But Denise said it all... follow your doctor's orders over SparkPeople's. Here's wishing you all the best with your healthy goals!

Yes, please do follow your doctor's nutrition guidelines instead of ours. Unfortunately, when you are in the diabetes program, you aren't able to adjust the nutrition goals, but just know what numbers you are aiming for per your doctor's guidelines and know that you will be lower than what is showing on the nutrition tracker goals.

Oh, wanted to add, I'm Type 1, been that way for 35 years or so, on an insulin pump, just added information.

The number of carbs which is set for me per day is over what the doctor wants me to have per day, is it alright to be beneath that every day, will it affect the amount of weight I lose in any way? I know I'm having problems as it is staying at the amount of Calories and the rest of the things, though I am very close, I still find myself underneath them all, but one day (I've only been on the diet a week, so I'm getting there), but the Carbs are above the 65 at the highest, my Doctor wishes me to use. Can I try to stay at or below that instead of 65-76 it suggests? (the 65 is ok, but not for every meal).

Thank you.
