Hello and Welcome to Sparks!

Although each person has different goals, you're in great company here. The amount of support and community at Sparks is unlike any other website. (Trust me, I've tried them all!) emoticon

If there is any way that I can help you along your journey, just let me know! I'm always here for friends in need.

Thanks so much for the encouragement and fitness ideas. When the weather cools down in the Phoenix area (not for another 6 months though) I would love to meet and walk with some ladies.

I don't know much but walking got me started. I had a walking tape durring the rainy season and I found people I could walk with and I could only do around the block once. I walk 20 minutes every day now and have done a 5 k.... i normally walk 3 to 4 miles in an hour depending on who I am walking with and weather I am feeling ok.. It is so simple, but it is working for me..
Of course I also am doing Ti chi chia for seniors and water aerobics and I have tried group strength training and yoga.... I don't like yoga. Hope you find the things you really like.

I am not new to Spark People, but am new to Spark Coach. I am diligently working out for at least 10 minutes a day (day 2). Although I feel rather proud of myself that I have worked out at list the minimum 10 minutes I and not sure if the exercises I have chosen are doing me any good. Any suggestions on a beginners workout program that I can add onto as I move forward to a healthier life.?
