I struggle with Fibro too. And I agree, the more weight I carry, the more pain I deal with. Exercise can back fire if I'm not careful, and at times I seriously over do it and pay for it. But I'm really needing to make this time be the time it happens for me. i'm so tired of being sick and tired.
I'm on my WAY. emoticon

Good luck to you as well! I've been saying I was going to do this for two years now - no more excuses lol... Actually made use of our gym today, spent 30 minutes doing weight training and 20 on the bike. Great feeling of accomplishment - now if I can just make it a habit to do every day!!!!

Until the age of 30 I never had trouble with my weight - always between size 3 & 5. After that a combination of depression and fibromyalgia took it's toll - I went from 115 to 230 lbs. 3 years ago after my divorce I managed to lose almost 70 lbs and hold steady at 160, good but not great. In the last year I started gaining that back and now weigh in at 185 again. I've noticed a huge difference in my health too, after losing the weight the fibro and migraines were easier to manage. Gaining it back I've had a daily struggle with both. I just need motivation - I do better with friends supporting each other, working out together...since I really don't know many people in my area yet (recently moved to New Hyde Park, NY) I'm hoping that SparkPeople will help fill in that void. Would be great to meet someone who is in this area too. Anyhow - on top of just needing to get healthy I am getting married in January 2015, another motivator now. Hoping to stick with it all this time!

Anyone reading this please feel free to friend me :) Looking forward to meeting new people and getting in shape!
