I have been feeling the same way for the past month or so. I have lost motivation but it is so nice to know I am not alone. I think we just have to keep reminding ourselves why we are doing this and ask ourselves if its worth it. Everytime I ask myself those things I am reminded of how important this is. So keep going it might not be the easiest thing to go through but once we get to our end result it will be the best feeling in the world!

It's so easy to get discouraged when we try to see everything all at once.
Take it easy on yourself and try to do little steps/increments that may be less overwhelming

i understand how you feel- i find that i tend to avoid some social situations because i'm not happy with how i look right now. BUT i also find that when i'm actively working on being healthier, i'm more open to meeting up with old friends, etc. i find it helpful to focus on smaller goals and keep the long-term big number goal further away. i feel SO good when i hit a smaller goal- 10 pounds, zipping up a pair of pants that used to be tight, setting a new personal distance record in a set amount of time, etc. maybe if you try that you'll start to build your confidence again- i know it's helping me!

I've lost a lot of weight over the last couple of years, and I feel the same at 165 pounds as I did at 230. You have to choose to live in the moment, because life is short, and letting it pass you by because you're embarrassed or ashamed is a waste of that life.

Own your size now, and own the fact that you're choosing to become healthier, so you can live longer, and enjoy even more of the life you deserve. Be with the people you love, and don't let your size ruin your love for life.

Winter time/Fall is the worst time for me Especially October. Once November hits I am hoping that things get back to normal but what is normal anymore.

But thinking about it if I keep saying October is my worst month it will be my worst month.. I have to try to foucs on the positive and good things of the month.

We always think that we will be more happier if.... But life goes on. We can't wait for this magical point of time otherwise we will be wasting those wonderful moments we tend to ignore.
Take a look as small things. Appreciate them. Work on your confidence now.

I think it's both.I know that I would feel better having lost the weight. I have no self-confident. I know if I were not overweight I would have more self-confidence to live the life I want. I'm taking it one day at a time and trying to stay positive. Some days are just better than others....

Maybe it would help if you didn't focus so much on the weight. Focus on the changes you know you need to make and the rest will come.

What is making you depressed? I can't tell if it's the weight or that you see other people who are living the life you want to live. Do you believe they are connected?

I'm not really sure where to post this. Just need to vent. I get in these funks where i get so depressed. I am on this lifestyle change journey and really haven't lost motivation, but I get so discouraged. Like many of you out there, I have much weight to lose and it is just so overwhelming to think of all that needs to be done. I find myself withdrawing from situations because I feel so uncomfortable and I get sad all the time when I am with friends who are married and have kids. I sometimes feel soooo alone. Most of the time, I am happy, but I just get into these funks like I said. I feel like I'm not living the life I should. Sorry to be a downer...just wanted to know I'm not the only one feeling this way.
