Can't find Boars Head where I live. Mostly Jennie-O and Sara Lee along with the less expensive brands.

I won't touch anything accept for Boar's Head! There are no additives or fillers and they're the healthiest by far. Also, they taste the best to me!

I only buy Boars Head...honey turkey. Never cared for the pre-packaged ones like
Oscar Meyer. My friend, a vegan, told me to watch "The Food Nation" (think that was the title). After watching this DVD you will never eat meat again!. LOL

I worked in a deli in a grocery store and I will never eat deli meat again. We washed everything down every hour but I still thought it got too dirty. Really make sure that everything looks clean. Don't buy the cheap meat from the deli because it comes covered in slime. Boars Head definitely seemed like the best quality with lots of options and not too expensive.

Boar's Head had a little booklet on the counter at our grocery store deli counter with all of their different meats/cheese and all the nutrition information. Since then I've been sticking to BH so I don't have to estimate. I can weigh out 2 oz. of turkey breast, maple ham or my new favorite chipotle chicken breast and have a great, protein snack.

I prefer Applegate Farms brand. They are a bit pricier, but I think they're worth it.

Due to severe allergies to many popular preservatives found in lunch meats, I cannot eat any lunch meat other than the Prima Della brand found in Walmart's deli. It's delicious, 98% fat free, 30% lower in sodium than most brands and American Heart Association certified.

The only one I like is Boar's Head No Salt Added Oven Roasted Turkey Breast. I don't like deli meat because of the textures, but this is an exception. It looks and tastes like a regular turkey breast. it isn't molded or shaped or pressed.

What brands of deli meat are the healthiest/most tasty? I have recently realized I don't eat sandwiches for lunch like I used too, I usually reach for leftover meals or go for convenience. I am interested in both packaged and deli meats. Husband used to always want to buy the cheapest, but now I've converted him to the deli :) So, knowing the meats can have high sodium/fat, and are not known to be the healthiest, what brands do you like?
