My aunt met her current dude on eHarmony.com. My mom is currently meeting guys on match.com. (They're both divorced, FYI.) Personally, I'm doing the celibacy.com thing. Ha ha.

It's pretty sad when your mom has a more active love life than you do. LOL.

I met and married my husband writing to penpals.. A great way to met men and find out whom they are without having confront anyone before I felt totally ready too..

I met the love of my life through a newspaper ad, remember when they had those in the newspaper? hahahaha
Believe me I wasn't thinking I was going to find my soul mate through that, I thought well meet someone go see a movie or something , but I totally lucked out!
I met a few others before him and like the other said MEET IN A PUBLIC PLACE!!!!!! Don't give out your address or phone number until you feel comfortable with them and as they also said most guys understand. There was one date I didn't think I'd make it home alive , so be very careful!!!!!!
Oh and men love to lie and say they are single when they aren't! Look for the tan line on the ring finger that totally gave one guy away hahaha and make sure you ask a lot of questions, I even went as far as taking my own car after a few dates, because I found that a couple of the men seemed like perfect gentleman and then once we got back to the car they turned into an octopus!!!! I had to literally scream at one guy to get off of me , his move from his seat to mine was unbelievably fast like he pulled that trick a few times!!!!
But when I met my husband it was LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT, we just knew that night there was just such a strong connection and this year we'll be celebrating our 17th wedding anniversary!!!!!
We met, 3 months after that he moved in, 3 months after that we were engaged and then 8 months after that we were married and 2 months after that we were pregnant hahahaha and he has just been one of the biggest blessings in my life besides our son!
I got sick a few years after we got married with Lyme and Fibromyalgia and he's always had my back and because I'm in so much pain and can't get out much he's made me a beautiful garden in the backyard to enjoy, every plant everything back there was made from his love and I just cherish him ! I have pics of the garden he made me in my photos, I really do hope you find "THE ONE" and such a beautiful love story as I have with my husband!

God Bless and Good Luck!!!!

I met my fiance on plentyoffish.com. It's a free site. PLEASE be careful when doing this though. Be with someone when meeting the person in person for the first time (or even the second time) or be in a very public/busy place. Never meet someone by yourself. There are those that would like to hurt people using these sites (there's even been someone kill that used POF). It's dangerous out there. I was lucky and my family and my fiance's family kind of knew each other. We were already close to each other in distance...just probably never would have met if it hadn't of been for the site.

My hubby and I met on match.com and will be celebrating our 10th anniversary this June! I was not into the bar scene, did not find anyone at my church or work. It was slim pickings and I wanted to meet some nice people. I met many nice guys but always was safe about meeting in public places. I did not give my phone number or address until after I met them and felt safe about that. Most guys understood and would give their numbers out. If any guys pressure you into giving info. you are not comfortable giving out, then beware!!! It was exciting to come home and see who you were matched with and only wrote to those I was comfortable about. You can have great time and meet many nice guys, just use your common sense and trust your gut feelings. Good luck!

I am a single mom in her 40's. Now that my daughter is older i'd like to get back into the dating scene. I know there are lots of dating sites out there. Has anyone tried one they really liked / had success on? Opinions are welcome. Thanks!
