I start tracking water when I wake up. I typcially don't drink any during the night.

When I wake up. I do drink, though, about an entire bottle of water through-out the middle of the night (due to my dry though).

When I wake up. The amount I consume in the middle of the night is minimal - a sip or two if I wake up.

I count when i am awake but SP does reset at midnight, but you can always go back to the previous day and add water.

I start in the morning. If I'm up in the middle of the night with my daughter, I do always drink some water, but I have truly no idea how much, and it likely isn't going to matter in the grand scheme of things. So, I just start once I am really up for the day. I actually even track all of my food with my breakfast. As I eat, I get on SP and track my food for the day. It REALLY helps me not only stay on target for the day, but plan my meals ahead of time, which is REALLY REALLY helpful to a working parent! Otherwise, I never know what we will have for dinner, and it usually ends up being something not quite as nutritious! So, the night before I think about what to eat, take the meat from the freezer, decide how to prepare it with what sides I want, and let it thaw. It makes things FAR easier for me. That being said, when I am at the grocery store, I do try to have an idea what I will be having as well, a lot of healthy recipes on hand to make sure I have all the right ingredients! I would like to get better an "menu" planning, but with a toddler, I don't always have the time for SOME of the recipes. She wants to eat NOW! As the years progress, I know that this will get easier, so I don't sweat it.

I count a "day" for drinking water (and tracking) as "when I'm awake." I'm sometimes up until 1 or 2, but that's all one day. It doesn't really matter, in the end, which you choose, as long as you're consistent. Remember that the water tracker, and other tools are for YOUR use... use them the way they make sense for you. The water tracker affects nothing but personal motivation and sparkpoints. :)

I track everything starting at midnight. However, I generally don't consume anything between 10pm and 6am because I am sleeping.

Do you count starting water consumption at 12 am or when you wake up, to get your total count for the day ?
