It is a free site, so ads are a necessary evil. But YOU have the power to block them if you so choose. Enable your pop-up blocker. Get an add-on like AdBlock Plus - no ads on all sites.
Your choice.... DO something about it, or continue to get annoyed.

What I'm tired of is every time I log in to SP, I get an ad for Jillian Micheals. All I did was click "log in". Also every time I read Health News, which I love, I get ads for Bronson. In both of these cases, when I x out of the ad I have to re-log in. Very annoying!.
I think the ads can be annoying, especially the ones for chocolates and M & Ms. Sometimes they get in the way of accessing specific parts of the site (like the survey that keeps popping up).
But in the grand scheme of things, I understand that it costs money to run the site and provide the tools and information for free to participants. I just learned to do my best to ignore most of them!
The one thing that annoys me the most is not really an ad. I am paying for SparkCoach and when I am in SparkCoach and I click on a link to an article or video from SparkCoach, I have to sign in every time for each item in order to get my SparkPoints. What is with this?

Hi! and have never had a complaint the entire 6 years I have been a member until recently. I do not like all the ads nor do I like the way they slow down either my computer or the website (can't determine which it does, but things are slower than ever). I understand ads are needed to keep the site free. However, does there really need to be 4-5 between each side of page and then on top of page of my teams before I can ever get to the team thread? This is really a nuisance. Ever since the ads became googlized and more of them, the site has become slower and more cumbersome to navigate. I have very high speed internet and have regularly deleted history and temp files, so that is not the problem.
I love this site, but please make changes to the way the advertisements are presented and lower the amount. Also, I find the popup ads totally annoying as well.
I appreciate your taking the time to read and possibly making needed changes. Thank you, Cynthia
