I'm in. I lost 50 lbs on Spark people originally and have gained 19 back. I'm being honest with myself that this has to stop. So, I'm here and have reset my sparkpeople account to start over from square one. I use myfitnesspal too because they let you scan in barcodes of food - but I probably shouldn't be eating foods with barcodes! I lost my original weight with sparkpeople and I'm back to get it under control. Thanks! Molly
Everyone sounds really excited. I am sure we ALL will see success if we work at it and stay POSITIVE. I can't wait until Monday's check in - we will see how we are doing then.

Lillygator, wow--couch to 5K! Impressive....I hope you will keep us posted on your progress!
As I posted before, I will be doing the opposite this week! I've never done a 5K, but do love to walk and bicycle. This next week though is foot surgery--so will become a true couch potato for a few weeks. So add in a few 100yds for me!

Thank you for your post.. Im right there with you,. I have gained back 12 pounds and its been the hardest thing to do. LOOSE THEM again. Im so grateful I found this place to help motivate me. Been stuck on depressed mode for months.
First weigh in for April and down 2.5 pounds. Which is great but more interesting is today was also measure day. Some how in March I managed to lose11.5 inches from all over my body. Since January the weigh has come off but the tape measure was not moving very much, until now. Good boost to keep me on track for the week end and for the rest of April. I'm sure being part of this challenge has help me stay on track. Thanks everyone. Good Luck with April.

First weigh in for April tomorrow and a measure day too. I hope the result will be enough to give me a boost for the next week to come. Not wanting miracles but after the Easter long week end need to at least be holding steady. Damn Bunny!! Ha ha.
9.4 is AWESOME I didn't lose as much in March but February was great so it averages out.

Still movitvated to do this! After losing 9.4 lbs last month, I'm pretty sure I won't lose as much this month but it doesn't hurt to try. I'll be happy with 5 or 6. Keeping in mind that I'm going on vacay next week.
We will make them all jealous when we all lose SOMETHING at least - we are positive and WE ARE going to work our programs. We will win.

Here we go! Time to shed this weight! This am did my Shoulders & Arms workout. No running or walking today, but will run extra tomorrow. Kids have a half day today and it is chilly/windy...so not bringing them out in this weather. But in my workout I totally worked it! Increased my weights and when I couldn't do it on some workouts, I increased reps! Feeling definition! Now if I can just stay within my caloric limit today, I'll be good to go!
My birthday is this month. I will be 55 and I would like my weight to finally be moving in the right direction. I have been losing a regaining the same 10 lbs for years. I have a lot more than 10 lbs to lose but it would be a great start and great birthday gift to myself. I failed so many times that it's hard to have faith in myself any more.
Had a really good March. 8.8 lost. Not sure if April will be as good. I tend to cycle up and down. Usually after having a good weight loss period I will slow down for a couple of weeks. But I will try very hard. I weigh and measure this Friday so that will give me info on how I did in March. Changing a couple of things up with exercise and food for April. So may be that will be enough to keep my body from slowing down on the weight loss. Hope so. Good Luck everyone for April.

This is a great motivator. Because I'm weighing in 4 times in April instead of the 5 from March and because I'm going on vacation this month I was setting goal for 5 lbs. But why not shoot for 10 again. I'm pretty sure I can lose 5 lbs. A 10 lb goal will motivate me more and even if I don't reach it (pretty sure I won't) I will have tried my hardest.

I am committing to working towards my goal of 10lbs weight loss too!
After next week though, I need weight loss to take a 'back seat' to eating really well during these next two months after my foot surgery next week. I will be in a surgical shoe for six weeks. Hopefully by then the bones will be healed enough to begin walking regularly!
But when you come down to it...the food choices remain the same... I just won't restrict my calories quite so much. It will be tricky to find the right amount though since with decreased exercise, I won't burn quite as much either! If anyone has a "good formula" let me know!!
I do plan to take advantage of the Seated Cardio videos, etc here on Spark And I'll enjoy being accountable to you all as I enter the world of a true couch potato! :) Cheers! Patti
