My goal is 10,000 steps a day. I check my steps throughout the day to see if I'm staying on track. I like to get at least 5,000 before noon. I have also posted my goals and write down my total for each day. At the end of the day, if I haven't reached my goal, I just walk around the house until I have or walk in place while watching TV. You will be surprised how many steps you can get in during commercials. Good luck on you journey. Sounds like you are off to a good start.
